Photo from the main street. At the entrance there are pleasant terrace seats. Chic and elegant furnishings.
Wine bar counter inside the restaurant. In the evening you can take some bruschetta from this buffet counter.
Wine bottles. There are about 160 types of wine.
You can also eat upstairs. Since less tourists come here, you'll have a relaxed time without any interruption.
The appetizer "Bruschetta of tomato and basil". A big portion!
Even if it was not written on the menu, I tried to order "Spaghetti in tomato sauce" and they responded to my request! Look at this plenty volume.
A traditional pasta of Umbria region in central Italy, "Tagliatelle with asparagus and truffles". Tender asparagus and aroma of rich truffle were suitable to the sticky pasta....delicious!
Their antique espresso machine of the 1960's. You can enjoy the rich aroma of coffee.
Happy Hour starts at 16:30. The buffet has abundant kinds of food.

This is a family-run restaurant so the manager is MARIO, the owner's son.

The old town of Assisi has several restaurants and it's quite difficult to find a good place. When I have a chance to visit this town I try every time new Ristorante, but I could not find "the best". But recently I've heard a good and trendy restaurant called "Magnavino" was opened so I immediately went to check there.
The restaurant is very calm and staffs are very friendly. The menu is various and the price is reasonable! Here is the restaurant you can recommend to anyone.
The restaurant is located on the east side of the town, practically situated on the main street "Corso Mazzini" extending from the Church of Santa Chiara (St. Clare) to the city hall square in the heart of the city (Piazza del Comune). It's very convenient to pass during your sightseeing. Since the town of Assisi has a lot of slopes, please come here to rest your weary feet.
Their menu is full of attractive dishes mixed with traditional Italian cuisine. For starters you can take open sand like "bruschetta" or "Crostone", easy-to-eat food. It could be as a light starter with wine or lunch as well. For the Primo there are Central Italian dishes like pasta with truffles and mushrooms or cheese.
Although I couldn't take, the main dish of filet of veal looked very delicious. Since it's reasonable, you can enjoy full Italian course without concerning about budget.
Restaurant opened in April 2007 has a substantial wine list as the sign "wine & food" shows. Indeed they have 160 different types of wine!! Wine bottles are lined up at the interior wall and it's very stylish. Their main repertoire is wines of central Italy. Of course you can order one type by glass. Here is an ideal wine bar to try different types of Italian wine.
Assisi is a charming town of white and pink marble stones. If you have a chance to eat in the town, please try to be seated outside. At the entrance they have terrace seats and on a sunny day you can enjoy meal there relaxing. Inside, there is a large second floor so that even if the entrance is crowded, you wouldn't need to wait a seat.
This restaurant is proud of their coffee. Using a Cafe' espresso machine of the 1960s, they serve a caff e of rich aroma and mellow taste. After meal please try Italian style coffee (espresso).
In Italy, a happy hour before dinner called Aperitivo (aperitif) is very popular. During the Happy Hour at the restaurant there is lined a buffet counter, so you can order a glass of wine and choose your favorite food from that buffet. A glass of alcohol costs 3 euros and a plate of salami, cheese, bruschetta with salads is 5 euros. Those amounts will be a light dinner.
If you would like to stay in Assisi, you can arrive at the town in the evening. After Happy hour, of course the restaurant is opened for dinner. There is even a special menu to enjoy a wide variety of local dishes at only 25 euros including a table charge. The name is "MENU DEGUSTAZIONE (Degustation menu)". It's a fixed menu of an appetizer plate, pasta like Assisi's penne (short pasta with cream truffle sauce with sausage and mushrooms), chicken with balsamic sauce, Grechetto of Assisi (white wine), red wine of Assisi DOC. It's recommended to enjoy a satisfied menu at a reasonable price.

When I heard a good new restaurant was opened in the heart of Assisi, I went to lunch there right away. The atmosphere is chic-looking of restaurant & wine bar style. I went to eat weekday lunch so it was less crowded and very quiet.
