Hofbräuhaus Genova is selected by the Italian beer industry. It's highly appreciated because of their excellent quality beer. Not only, they organize some lectures and tastings of beer. Their efforts to expand a beer culture is very noted.
“HOFBRÄUHAUS” was a beer hall founded by the Duke of Bavaria in southeastern Germany in 1589. It was originally only royal beer hall and in 1610 it became allowed to the popular people. In 1930 it changed to the public beer hall. In 2005 Genoa received the title of "HOFBRÄUHAUS" as a first place in Europe outside of Germany. To have a name of "HOFBRÄUHAUS" means that the taste of beer in this beer hall is highly guaranteed.
The Bavarian Weiss beer (white beer) is main type of this beer hall. "Hofbräu Original" (small: 2.5 euros / Medium: 4 euros / 5.1 alcohol) is lager beer with a fresh scent of bitter. 200 years of history, "Münchner Kindl Weisse" is good for a hot summer day (small: 3 euros / Medium: 5 euros Alcohol 5.1). "Hofbräu Maibock" is amber beer of higher alcohol than normal content (small: 3 euros / Medium: 5 euros / Alcohol 7.2). In addition, some special beer menus appear only a limited season.
Their dishes are also highly prepared and good taste. Their cuisine is mainly traditional dishes of Alto Adige region in north Italy. They guarantee high purity and quality of the material and select ingredients that are certified by Slow Food association. Buying the fresh local ingredients from Alto Adige region and Bavaria. Also in collaboration with the cooking association of Meran and Bolzano, there are local chefs in the kitchen.
The owner Mr. Alessio opened this beer hall in 2005. From his first visit to "Hofbräuhaus" in Munich more than ten years before, he was dreaming to open a place where everybody could enjoy delicious Bavarian beer and food in Genoa. Now his "Hofbräuhaus Genova" is a promoter of "October Fest" in Genoa, as a famous Munich beer festival. He is a bridge of the Italy and Bavaria.
